“What’s worth taking away from Fahrenheit 451?”
A society’s goal is to usually give us a sense of happiness no matter how fake and short they are by providing us ideas and laws to believe in and follow with belief.

FAHRENHEIT 451 ESSAY
Taking the time to write about anything fun or interesting from the book:
What was what I personally found interesting about the book was the fact the society really banned books out of all things to ban. The cause or happenings of the entire book basically revolves around the fact that they weren’t allowed to have books. What I took from that was that their society didn’t want them to have their own imaginations or ideas besides the ones the society wanted them to obey and believe in. Therefore, in the story, having a book is considered as going against the law, and these so called ‘firemen’ were to be assigned to burn down houses that violates such laws. The main character Montag is one of them, and Clarisse makes him think. Him having to have ideas to ponder on, the story then picks up it’s pace.
Dystopian society of the book so dark and somewhat unnatural
- Mildred, Montag’s wife, overdosing, causing to have the paramedics check on her and expose the fact that this was a common case in their society.
- self defamation
- Montag vs Society

Fahrenheit 451
- Montag on the run and almost gets hit by a car
- Having a small silver of hope and seeing humanity
- Montag wonders if those who killed Clarisse are the ones who tried to hit him with a car
- Montag decides to frame Mrs. Black’s husband by going to their house and have their house to get burned down
- “war” the society and any “outside thinkers” have in the book / America at war, but not knowing with who at this point
- Faber guides Montag - path to take/noting that he’s in deep trouble and would die by noon
- Montag gives Faber $100 to use in any way
- First city name we’ve heard = “St. Louis”
- Mechanical Hound following Montag along with a TV broadcast ( luckily, Montag told Faber what to do with everything he touched )
“Why would the news make this story so big?”
To show the citizens that whoever disobeys that such is the result.
