My Thesis Statement

-
The main point from “Young Goodman Brown” that would be somewhat interesting to have as a prompt would be having to point out the evils of the devil and how those evil can taint and lead people towards the wrong path.

I believe that if we’re writing an essay or reflecting about a story instead of simply assigning us to do an essay, would be tough without a specific prompt because many can go off topic. At least, I know I would be confused and my essay would not make sense, but it’ll be related to “Young Goodman Brown” for sure.

First Impression Of Dream Within A Dream

My first impression of Dream Within A Dream by Edgar Allan Poe was confusion because although I understood a meaning of a phrase or a word, individually, trying to match all of the lines was what I had trouble doing. His narratives were interesting because they would change a lot, and my mind wouldn’t be able to process it in a clever way. Every time I thought I figured out the message, I doubted myself because one line or two wouldn’t match. My idea was that he may have been talking about the dreams our dreams, also what we know as reality when we’re dreaming, are dreaming about. Inside our dreams, it can be as discomforting as our reality, thus, cause us to think of a better reality? Not sure if that made sense to you guys, but it made perfect sense it my head.

The Value Of My Time

The time investments that I am making these days are mainly about school, church, and extracurricular activities. For sure, those take up most of my time because they are giving me the sense of success and pleasure that may help me achieve or satisfy my obsession over getting recognised. Another reason is because I am one who seems like the type to have a rightful amount of confidence and self-esteem, yet, those are my time investments because they are helping me boost up the confidence and self-esteem.
